We are always looking for Performers of different genres and disciplines: actors, directors, theatre producers, theatre technicians, writers, performing art teachers, dancers are welcome to come to share their ideas and collaborate with us on theatre, film, movement, devised and other creative performances and workshops. Attendance to session 1 is required for session 2.

Developed by Ann Bogart and Tina Landau and practiced at SITI Company with Suzuki Tadashi in New York, Viewpoints is now taught all over the world as a way to approach acting and contemporary theatre making. By always questioning information and dismantling subtle hierarchies we might not realise exist, we can be freed to explore the possibilities that have been locked away tight by our paradigms.

 

This 2-day workshop will explore the 9 Viewpoints and their application into scene study, rehearsal and devising.

 

Attendance to session 1 is required for session 2.

All are welcome. Comfortable attire for non-restrictive movement required.

Session 1, 17th November:

11am – 2pm : Discovery and exploration of the Time Viewpoints

2pm – 3pm : Lunch Break

3pm – 6pm : Discovery and exploration of the Space Viewpoints & Open Session

 Session 2, 24th November:

11am – 2pm : Refreshing the 9 Viewpoints & Open Sessions

2pm – 3pm : Lunch Break

3pm – 6pm : Applying Viewpoints to scene study, rehearsal and devising material.

KrisP is seeking dynamic professional artists of all theatrical disciplines to join a vibrant roster of collaborative teaching artists

Teach other creatives something you are passionate about. KrisP, will facilitate your workshop to help you to add teaching skills to your toolkit and awaken your creativity. Performers, directors, writers, dancers are encouraged to apply.

 
Develop and learn your craft even more by teaching others. Do you feel like you have a special power to inspire and engage, come and join our team of teachers for adult actors/ performers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional skills, training and experience in one or more theatrical disciplines

  • Experience or interest in teaching adult actors and performers

  • Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Teaching or Teaching Artist Experience

  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree
