Regina has wrapped its worldwide circuit with nominations at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF), ORION International Film Festival, and Rotterdam International Film Festival.
Audiences everywhere connected with Regina’s raw honesty, emotional depth, and unapologetic storytelling.
How it all began
Regina was filmed in Singapore, over an intense and beautiful three-day shoot with an all-local cast.
Our director, Brock, flew in from Hong Kong, where we first worked together on Away, our internationally acclaimed short film. Reuniting was a full-circle moment; there is something rare about working with someone who understands your creative language so deeply.

What is REGINA about?
Regina tells the story of a woman court-mandated to attend anger management therapy. The twist: her anger is so deeply embedded, it manifests as a person.
What unfolds is a relationship between Regina and this embodied Anger—their dependence, their conflict, their painful yet intimate co-existence.
It’s a story about self-identity, loss of control, and ultimately, what happens when you stop fighting your demons and start making peace with them.

While Regina is not autobiographical, every story I write comes from a deep place of self-search. From a question. From a moment of crisis. From a quiet, aching voice that asks:
Am I enough just the way I am?
Can I stop fixing myself, adapting to everyone else?
Can I just be, and still be worthy of love, success, and happiness?

I wrote Regina at a time when I had lost all confidence. I didn’t feel beautiful. I didn’t feel smart. I felt like nothing.
But from that breakdown came this script, this story, and a reminder:

There is always wisdom at the bottom. When you hit the floor, all you have to do is push off and rise.
This film is also a love letter to the heart and the body. To the parts of us we’ve been taught to ignore in favor of logic, speed, and achievement.
The mind only knows what it knows; it compares, it replays. The heart creates. The heart knows.
